Another small rant… 

if TVD was as good as it used to be, Elena wouldn’t be with Stefan [just to clear up I’m not mad about that]. But Stefan would’ve given the cure to Damon. Because the one thing that will ALWAYS tear Stefan apart the most is the fact that he turned Damon. And he’ll always be kinda responsible for that.

Let’s get something straight… Elena didn’t choose Damon 

because there was no choice to be made. If anybody thought that she’d pick Stefan after such a season, you’re delusional. It was the most natural thing for Elena to say what she said and tell Damon she loves him. The only time Elena had to actually choose between anybody is end of season 3 when she wasn’t with any of the two boys at that time.
